Knot Your Average Designer: A Crochet Journey

 Welcome to my corner of the internet! I’m thrilled to introduce myself as an interior design student with a twist—one that’s made of yarn, hooks, and a sprinkle of creativity. My journey in the world of crochet began right here in design school, where I discovered that my love for aesthetics and texture could be expressed through crafting as much as through interiors.


The Spark of Inspiration

It all started in my first semester. Surrounded by design boards and color palettes, i had one class of crocheting and had a lot of fun learning. After that i got to know about the creative pathway of crocheting.

After a few wobbly attempts at basic stitches (let’s just say my first few projects were… interesting), I quickly fell in love with crocheting. There’s something so soothing about the rhythm of yarn slipping through fingers, not to mention the thrill of turning a simple strand into a cozy creation.

Learning and Experimenting

Eager to improve my skills, I dove into the vast ocean of online tutorials. I experimented with various materials—soft cotton yarn, robust t-shirt yarn, and even some funky recycled yarns that I couldn’t resist at the local craft store. Each new material brought its own personality to my projects, allowing me to explore different textures and techniques.



The Big Leap: Launching My Website

Now, I’m beyond excited to share that I’m taking the plunge and launching my own website to sell my crochet creations! It’s a blend of my love for my newfound passion for crochet. Each product is not just an item; it’s a piece of art that tells a story and adds a unique touch to any space.

I envision my crochet pieces finding homes where they can brighten up and bring a pop of color to a persons life.  My goal is to create functional art that people will cherish, while also making them feel connected to the creative process.
